Hello from Texas
« on: August 08, 2007, 09:42:44 AM »

Hello all.
My name is Carole.
My lovely friend Daft pointed out that RS.com has a forum (which I never noticed before) so I jumped right over so I could sign up.  :D    I've actually been coming to the site for some time reviewing news and of course drooling over pictures.  However, as is usual for me, because there wasn't a flashing red and purple neon sign stating "Click here to enter the Forum" I missed it.  I'm blonde; some days more so than others.  LOL  LOL  LOL

I live in Texas and work in a corporate office counting beans.  haha  I have two grown boys Josh in California and Jeff in London and love animals.  I work long hours and when not out and about with friends or the bf I like to curl up and watch my favorite movies.  I love to laugh and have a rather twisted sense of humor but I never post with anything other than laughter in my mind and you can bet my self ddepredating  humor will show up more than once.      ;)

I first saw Ray in King Arthur and cried my eyes out when they killed his character.  When he showed up in Rome, I went surfing the internet and that brought me to a couple places, but this is the site I saved in my favorites.  I'm also a member at GBNet, CFF and MichaelFassbender so I guess you can say I like to have good looking men transport me out of my reality for a nice visit to movie or TV land when ever I can.

Oh and .... I cant type for love or money.  If you see something that looks like its misspelled, its probably a typo.  LOL

ok .... I'll shut up now.  LOL

Hi TTuMom, glad to hear you found your way here! Don't worry, lots of people find techno-anything daunting, but the group is good about showing each other how to get around.

Welcome TTUMom .  It's nice to see another Texan on here. Take your time familiarizing yourself with all the nooks and crannies of the forum now that you've discovered it .  And, after 15 posts you get to view The Gallery  ;D.

:brit:

Edited to express my profound apologies, ladies.  It takes 25 posts before you may visit The Gallery, so get busy RAYving   :neen: :ray: :neen:.

Hi TTUMOM

Greeting from South Carolina. Wondered if that meant Texas Tech, guessing it does.  I lived in San Antonio for 90 days once (no it wasn't a jail sentence) and loved it. I work with bean counters and engineers, both fun in their own ways.  Left a Bobby Knight joke for you Texans in the Jokes thread... we had him when I went to IU in the '70's.   Hope y'all don't mind that he was "gentley used".  :neen:

Yeppers ... Texas Tech.  My youngest graduated with his Masters in December and then ran off to London to work for a huge international firm.  I'm very proud of him.
I love Texas jokes, I'm a transplant myself; born and raised in Northern California.  I move to Texas 13 years ago and never looked back.  I love it here ..... well except for summers.  This heat is awful.

Thank you everyone for the hello.  I look forward to posting and catching up.

Q: Why do the Aggies hate playing Texas Tech?
A: Because they have tt on their jerseys.

Cam, tt is slang for pee (at least where I'm from).  Me thinks Titus is a merkin after all :)

Same meaning here.
Why am I picturing a bunch of A&Mers going:  Ewwwww, I'm not gonna play.  :p

I told the joke to come fellow TT co-workers and they got a laugh.  You can always tell an Aggie from a Red Raider even without logo's.  Aggies are different, they think because they went to A&M they're better than everyone else, kind of snobby with no basis to be so.  Raiders are just fun, love to have a good time and dont waste time on meaningless stuff, unless you corner them, then its a kick to watch them out-do and undo Aggies.

Thanks for the explanation. ewwww.

Titus, a merkin? I'm thinking of saying something like "He DOES have that area covered." But I wouldn't stoop so low. Would I? :hypocrite:

Hello there
You'll like it here .... We are nice and generous people ... Half of us are disabled computer users ... you can see that by the typos and slow spelling (actually you can't see that .. but you know what I mean, don't you? :dget:). The other half are working with computer on a daily basis ... at least it seems so ... So you'll be in good hands here  ... everybody fits in  :2drunks:

We have lots of fun .. and btw ... don't pay too much attention to TitusPullo 'cause he is an  :atthoe: and when we're on the topis of TitusPullo, mind the empty beer cans, the beer can throwing machine and all the other hilarious gadgets in 'his' club house in the Men's Section ... But please do join us there once in a while . :2drink: :3drnk:.. It's fun ... but don't fall asleep there .. (Kay can tell you more about that..  :hmm:)
Again ... welcome
