That's the problem with nicking pics, no track of what it is or where it came from. But that does happen to be a legitimate pic and it was nicked from Jon Barton's gallery. It just wasn't with the pics of Ray.

The description that goes with it is: "This is a prototype weapon used by the Punisher in the final battle of the movie. It is a Smith and Wesson model 500 .50 magnum that was converted by Knight's Armament Co, by request from Jon Barton and Monty Hom to give the Punisher the most unique hand cannon ever seen!"

Even if it's not real... I WANT THAT GUN.

Perhaps MGC or similar will license a replica. Or possibly someone will make a garage kit for it by this time next year, dunno who's doing this sort these days though.

Just about anything can be had for a price, Arsh. The guys at Knight's Armament could build another, but prolly won't because it'd likely require licensing.

Oooh, Cam, a ring is a great idea.  I'd buy one if it were finely made.  So far, a quick check around the net hasn't yielded any Punisher goodies I would be interested in.  If I were Goth, I might be interested in one of the belt buckles, but they're kinda cheesy.  I think I DID see a ring or two last I looked, but they were not anything I'd actually wear.

I imagine we'll be seeing more in the future.  And I certainly hope that His Lordship gets a piece of everything sold with HIS image on it!

A fanboy on IMDB, chokobot620, put this comparison pic together...Ray in Outpost on the left, and Frank taken from the MAX version of the comic.  It's fooking amazing how much Ray looks like Frank Castle/The Punisher!

For the part of Punisher, Alexander cast Ray Stevenson, who is best known as being Titus Pullo, a very likeable former Centurion for hire in HBO's Rome. He instantly became a fan favorite because he was able to sell both sides of his personality: the violent drunk mercenary and compassionate friend. If he plays Punisher the same way he did Pullo then he will make everyone forget Jane's Punisher. The only problem with Stevenson is that he was really too heavy in the last season of Rome. To address this problem Alexander sent him to train with her fight choreographer, Pat Johnson, who happens to be a world renowned martial arts expert. Before coming to Hollywood, Johnson was the captain of Chuck Norris's Karate team. Getting his hands on Stevenson, he whipped into shape with daily six hour sessions of weight training, cardio and martial arts training. After finishing with Johnson, Stevenson underwent military training with Gunmetal, a tactical training company ran by former Marines. That was fitting since in the comic Castle is actually a former recon Marine.

Julie Benz just did an interview about Dexter and she mentions PWZ:

Her next project is the sequel Punisher: War Zone, for which she dyed her famous blonde locks dark. She says she is not a reader of graphic novels, but she is really excited about the film. "Lexi Alexander, our director, has a really amazing vision for the movie. I really felt like I was in a comic book when we were shooting the film. And I think Ray Stevenson brings so much weight and pathos to the role of Frank Castle. And we have Dominic West playing "Jigsaw" and he's just deliciously evil."
