I don't know WTFook I'm going to do with all that stuff!  A museum?  A temple?  Maybe set up a spa retreat where women can go to refresh themselves, bask in the manly exquisiteness of Rayness whilst being massaged by masseurs hired for their resemblance to him.  Whaddya think?  Would any of you pay for a week like that?

Re: Articles and blurbs on "The Book of Eli" BOX OFFICE WATCH!
« Reply #196 on: January 16, 2010, 03:18:00 PM »

Knocking "Avatar" off its box office perch is no easy task, but Denzel Washington's "The Book of Eli" accomplished that feat on Friday.

The post-apocalyptic thriller gave Washington his second best opening Friday after "American Gangster" with a strong $11.7 million. That's pretty impressive considering "Eli's" R-rating and the competition from "Avatar." The Hughes Brothers' latest looks like it will do anywhere from $40-45 million for the four-day Martin Luther King Day weekend which means recouping its reported $80 million budget should be an easy task.

FRIDAY PM/SATURDAY PM: Alcon Entertainment's post-apocalyptic actioner with religious overtones The Book of Eli has become only the 2nd movie to be #1 during the 28-day reign of Avatar -- even if it's only Queen For A Day while the current King Of The World takes the MLK long weekend.

I was going to see Book of Eli today and the show I was going to was sold out!    And I'll bet, Nomad, that a weekend to spend with some Rayness would also be surely sold out if offered to the women on this forum.

Sold out???  That's GREAT news, Brit!

As for the RaySpa, feel free to make suggestions on things you would like to experience at the Royal Rayness Retreat and Spa...including better names than that one.  :P

One feature I thought of was, for a modest premium, a guest could have a room decorated in one of Ray's costumes or part thereof.  Imagine going to sleep fondling the VERY CANTEEN Ray wore around his lovely, trim waist in the film, Outpost!  VIP guests could look forward to a night wrapped in the studded, and studly, vest Ray wore as Dagonet in King Arthur! (Security deposit required) :neen:

Instead of annoying canned music, your ears could be treated to recordings of Ray's most famous and seductive lines: like "Hello, ladies!" or "I don't do gay."

The menu will certainly include grilled ham and cheese sandwiches and an impressive assortment of single malts.  In honor of Ray's home town, Newcastle Brown will be on tap.  (Is that possible...can you get it on tap or just in the bottles?)  Marlboro Lights may be smoked on the patio reserved for that purpose.

Entertainment will of course be nightly screenings of RayFilms in the Cinema Lounge or, if you prefer, broadcast privately on the television in your room.  One selection on your television will be TGC...The Gigolo Channel wherein continuous looping of the Seduction Scene from Theory of Flight will broadcast 24/7.:devilish: Hmmm...also TKTC, The Kitchen Table Channel and CTC, Cleo's Tent Channel.  The possibilities are endless!

All public areas will be plastered with RayImages, naturally.

Anything else?

YAY!!!  :yahoo: :dance2: May 'The Book of Eli' do BOFFO Box Office!

errrr......I mean to see it.....but I have yet to beg anyone to go with me. I've hinted to Mr. C..... but I believe I WILL get to the movie theater to see it. After all, I went to the theater to see 'Cirque du Freak' and I went to the theater to see 'Punisher: War Zone' (and purchased the DVD). And I bought the 'Outpost' DVD.

Speaking of work Ray has done since 'Rome' (where I first encountered Ray's work), I think Nomad's Ray museum/temple/spa should include a swimming pool where one can float blissfully while being surrounded by images of Ray and sounds of Ray's voice, and one can float on a raft made to look like Ray's bare back, shown to such delectable effect in 'Life Line'.

Speaking of Ray's bare back  :o  --

How about a games room?

We can, sort of, play a version of Whack-A-Mole (no, not the delicious mole at the base of his throat): A representation of Ray's bare back, with his wrists bound, just as Pullo's were in episode 1 of 'Rome' Series 1 when he was being punished for insubordination to Vorenus during battle.  His bare back pops up and we try to flog it.

We can also have a pinball game or bumper-car ride, inspired by the scene of Titus Pullo doing his duty with Cleopatra.  ;D

A game room!  Great idea!

How about a video game in which we try to snag the best screencaps of His Royal Nakedness from the various scenes we spend so much time re-winding and pausing?

Prize at the end of the week for the best "capture" could be...?

I think the "EXIT" door to your game room might need to have a surprise cold shower :spit:

Please do not imagine that, when this costume arrived today, I would have been so crass as to wrap my naked self in the coat whilst inhaling essence of Raypits from the t-shirt, transported to "that place."   :faint:  No, no!  I am WAY too lady-like to even THINK of such a thing.  And when the boots arrive (soon, I hope!), I will NOT be softly stroking their secret, dark interiors, imagining Ray's beautiful feet sweating profusely into them.

And I beg you NOT to judge me a grasping, acquisitive female on my OWN behalf!  Not at all!  ::)  Being the very SOUL of self-sacrifice  :pullo: I collect all these things so I can decorate the RaySpa for YOU, ladies!   (security deposit required)

Enjoy!

Nomad, that you would continue to add to your collection of Ray's costumes is inspiring to me!  I know you say you are too lady-like to revel in his DNA-soaked goodness, but I on the other hand am not.   :neen:  Bring on the Rayspa  :cheer2:.

  Brit, if you EVER come to Los Angeles, I hope you will include my home on your list of "must do" tourist destinations.  I promise you'll have some quality "alone time" with my entire Raycollection!
