I like 'Rome' Season 1 better.... it feels like the story moved at a pace which the creators intended. Also, I very much enjoyed Ciaran Hinds's performance as Julius Caesar. While Ray was my favorite, Ciaran Hinds was my next-favorite.

Season 2 felt rushed...and Bruno Heller did say that he rushed to move the story to a conclusion, after he found out that he was only going to have 2 seasons to tell his story.

Me too,first season isn´t so cruel an bloody.It is more funny.By second season I still cry!

Quite obviously I am a fan of Rome (see my name).  I must admit I loved season one best, although I was impressed that season two still held my rapt attention despite the loss of some key characters (but that was inevitable).  I do hope Bruno Heller et al can drum up a smashing film from the remnants!  And I'll be chuffed to buggery that Vorenus lives.  I just hope the principal cast members can be lured away from their other work to reprise the roles!

I am so confused... wonders off thinking "The Little Engine that Could" might have gay undertones
