I would have liked to see Ray as the next Doctor Who (replacing Matt Smith), but I see that they've already cast someone...Maybe next time?

There's a thought... but they tend to go for the slightly eccentric, less than conventional looking type for the Dr. Ray is too good looking. ;) Peter Capaldi is an excellent choice, though. Ever seen him in The Thick Of It? He really knows how to swear!   :D

Hi, redshift   I remember seeing Peter Capaldi in Torchwood and other drama shows, but not in a comedy role.  I look forward to seeing his take on the Doctor.

Me as well. I've liked the lot of younger Doctors but I'm also nostalgic for them to return to the 50+ crowd of actors for the work. And when the hell are we going to get a female Doctor??

Gonna show my age here -the first Doctor I remember clearly was Jon Pertwee, but my all time fav was Tom Baker.  As for a female Doctor, did you ever see the Comic Relief spoof  Doctor Who and the Curse of Fatal Death?  Joanna Lumley made a great female Doctor.  :)
